Head of the Department of Endocrine Surgery, ISAR Klinikum (Munich)
- Prof. Dr. med. Heinrich Fürst worked for many years as a surgeon at LMU University Hospital Munich, where he most recently headed the Department of Thoracic Surgery and led the Lung Transplantation Group.
- He then served for two decades as Chief Physician and Medical Director at Martha-Maria Hospital in Munich, a specialized academic teaching hospital and one of Germany’s leading centers for endocrine surgery.
- Since March 2022, Prof. Dr. med. Heinrich Fürst has been Head of the Department of Endocrine Surgery at ISAR Klinikum in Munich.
- He has authored numerous scientific publications in internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals, including AJNR, Stroke, The Lancet, Clinical Science, Annals of Surgery, and World Journal of Surgery.
